Online charity YouthNet – founded by broadcaster Martyn Lewis in 1995 – exists to create a socially inclusive environment where all young adults are engaged, informed and inspired to achieve their ambitions and dreams. YouthNet achieves this by providing knowledge, information and online materials on its two award-winning websites: www.do-it.org.uk – volunteering made easy; and www.TheSite.org – a one-stop-shop of advice and support for 16-24 year-olds.

Do-it.org

do-it.org.uk is the number one website for anyone looking to volunteer; simply enter your postcode and find opportunities in your local area. Launched in 2001, do-it.org.uk has more than 800,000 opportunities to volunteer across the UK and is the most comprehensive national database of volunteering opportunities in the UK. Each month, www.do-it.org.uk attracts an average of 50,000 visitors. Of these, 6,000 people go on to register for at least one of the opportunities listed. Visit www.do-it.org.uk to find more information about volunteering and how you can get involved.

The Site.org

The Site.org delivers high-quality candid information, signposting to on-the-ground support agencies and frontline emotional support for 16-24 year-olds, primarily through the internet, but increasingly through mobiles, digital interactive TV and hand-held devices – tools that are central to the way young people communicate. Being online means we are always there when young people need us and more than 500,000 turn to us every month. We never close, we never switch off. Young people can access our services any time of day or night. Visit www.TheSite.org to find out more.
