Sport Relief harnesses the power and passion of sport to change lives for the better. By doing sport, having fun and raising money, everyone can do good and feel good!

Sport Relief

All the money raised is spent by Comic Relief to help vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.

For Sport Relief 2008 we’re asking everyone to challenge themselves, their family, their friends and their colleagues to do something sporty and raise cash at the same time.

That means you can throw down the gauntlet on the 5-a-side pitch with your mates, in a sports quiz at the office, or on the school playground.

But the ultimate way to get involved is by joining hundreds of thousands of people at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 16th March.

With over 200 Mile events taking place across the UK, including 23 flagship Miles, there’s bound to be one near you!

This year, to help you really rise to the challenge there are three distances up for grabs – 1, 3 or 6 Miles - all you need to do is decide which one best suits you, your friends or your family.

So, find your nearest Mile here, sign up, get sponsored and have a great day!

The whole of the BBC will be behind Sport Relief 2008 too – delivering brilliant entertainment across TV, radio and online.

Whatever you do for Sport Relief 2008, do something! Rise to the challenge and remember to raise as much cash as you can to make a real difference to people’s lives.
