Charity Find of the Year 2007: Free Rice

www.freerice.com

This year is the second year that Charity has become a category in its own right and it was a difficult one to judge as they were all very worthy causes, with good, innovative sites. However, Free Rice (www.freerice.com) was a very popular site with the panel. Free Rice is a great site created for everyone, featuring an online game that tests your vocabulary knowledge and converts correct answers to rice donations. It was set up to help the World Food Programme.

This innovative site is very interactive so the user obtains a real sense of the cause and in doing so is able to help with the goal.
