1. Eligibility
Q: How old must I be to enter the competition?
A: You must be aged 16 years or older

Q: I have been reported for abuse. May I still enter the competition?
A: No, your answer will have been removed and therefore you will not be eligible to be awarded a "best answer" and be entered into the prize draw.

2. Entering the contest
Q: How do I enter the Yahoo! Answers Challenge?
A:

Complete the official entry form located at: http://yahoo.co.uk/challenge
Answer questions posed by other users in the featured category for that week before the end date and time set out in the table below.
For every "best answer" you are awarded by the user asking the question in the featured category or if the asker doesn’t chose, the Yahoo! Answers community (provided there are more than two answers to the question) before 23.59 hours GMT on 16th November 2006 you will be entered into the prize draw. There is no guarantee that your answer will be chosen as the "best answer" by the user asking the question.

Q: Do I have to pay to enter the competition?
A: No. But you will be responsible for your costs in accessing the internet.

Q: Can I answer questions in each featured category more than once?
A: Yes. You can answer multiple times in each featured category, although answer flooding will be subject to monitoring by Yahoo! Answers.

Q: What’s the most number of times you can enter the prize draw?
A: On the basis that your answer is chosen as a "best answer", there is no limit to the number of "best answers" that you can be awarded and then entered into the prize draw.

Q: Which category is the featured category?
A: Each week there is a different category featured. Check on http://yahoo.co.uk/challenge to see which category will be featured in a particular week.

Q: Do I need to answer the featured question to be entered in to the prize draw?
A: No. You only need to answer a question in the featured category for that week and be awarded a "best answer" to be entered into the prize draw.

Q: How can I ask my own question?
A: Once you register for Yahoo! Answers you can both ask and answer questions. To ask a question, use the "ask" box on the Yahoo! Answers front page.

3. Selection of winners
Q: How can I be awarded a "best answer"?
A: The person asking the question may choose the "best answer" from all answers that have been given after the question has been live for 24 hours, or if the asker doesn’t choose, the Yahoo! Answers community may choose the "best answer", provided there are more than two answers to the question. Your answers are not guaranteed to be chosen as a "best answer".

Q: How do I know if I have received a "best answer"?
A: You will receive an email to the account you’re registered with before 23.59 hours GMT on 16th November 2006. Alternatively you can check the question you answered by logging into My Q&A.

Q: Who selects the winners of the Yahoo! Answers Challenge?
A: Yahoo! will select the winner for each category randomly on 7th December 2006.

Q: How will I know if I have won?
A: You will be informed by the preferred contact details that you provide during the registration process on or shortly after 7th December 2006.

Q: Can I win more than once?
A: Yes, it is possible to be the winner for more than one featured category.

4. Prizes

A: Details of the prizes available in each featured category are located at http://yahoo.co.uk/challenge during the promotion.

Q: When can I claim my prize if I’ve won?
A: Yahoo! Answers will contact you on or shortly after 7th December 2006 to tell you that you’ve won and then arrange delivery or collection of the prize. Or you can write to Yahoo! Answers Competition, Yahoo!, 125 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8AD, United Kingdom after 7th December 2006 to find out if you’ve won a prize.

Q: Can I get the money equivalent rather than the prize?
A: No. There is no cash alternative to the prizes unless specified by Yahoo!.

Q: How do I collect the prize?
A: Yahoo! will contact the winners to arrange an appropriate way to deliver or collect the prize.

5. Timing
Q: When does this competition begin?
A: 00.01 hours GMT on 4th September 2006

Q: What is the deadline to answer a question?
A: Each week there will a featured category. You can answer a question in that category between 00.01 hours on Monday and 23.59 hours on Sunday each week (called the "Draw Period"). The specific dates when each category will be featured are located at http://yahoo.co.uk/challenge. You will only be entered in the draw for each "best answer" you receive in the featured category before 23.59 hours GMT on 16th November 2006.
