The Renault Koleos isn’t just a new car – it’s an entirely new type of car. Renault have taken their unrivalled experience with MPVs (they’ve been making them longer than anyone, since the first Espace in 1984) and combined it with all the best attributes of a 4x4.
Firstly, it’s the fruit of much shared expertise and collaboration. It was designed by Renault, developed in partnership with Nissan, and manufactured in Renault Samsung Motors’ plant.

Take the high road
If you’re looking for go-anywhere ability you can’t get much better than the Koleos. All 4x4 models offer a box of tricks called Electronic Torque Control (ETC) for three separate modes of transmission. And there’s a special 4x4i mode with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) to guarantee the best possible traction and roadholding at all times, through automatic, precise distribution of the engine’s torque between all four wheels.
What goes up must come down, but that’s not a problem for Koleos. With 4WD Lock and Hill Descent Control engaged, its powerful diesel engines will get you down more or less anything. Not ready to come down? New Koleos even has that covered with Hill Start Assist that stops you from rolling downhill at awkward moments – whether you’re on the slopes of Snowdonia or on a ramp in your local multi-storey.

Just because you’re in a full-featured 4x4 doesn’t mean you have to rough it. Koleos gives you everything you need to travel in outstanding comfort. Road noise levels are very low thanks to a special soundproofing package, while all the vibrations from the dCi engines have been minimised, making the cabin a haven away from all the hustle and bustle.
The interior boasts generous headroom in the front – and with a seriously big glazed surface and a panoramic sunroof, Koleos is outstandingly light and airy. It’s fully flexible too, featuring Renault’s ‘Super-fold’ system, reclining rear seats, a split tailgate and a huge number of storage compartments.
Kit includes a Bose® sound system created especially for Koleos, which you can connect directly to your mp3 player via a 3.5mm jack plug. You can also opt for a hands-free phone kit with Bluetooth®, top-of-the-range sat nav with dash-mounted 3D colour map, and much more.
